Today’s WOD was a 3 mile run. I had hoped for a better pace, but realized as soon as I began that not only has the change in diet affected me (lower energy) but yesterday’s Bulgarian Split Jumps hit my calves harder than I even realized. I even had to stop mid run and stretch them a little. Which made for a nice reminder that I need to make more of an effort to stretch better immediately after my workouts!
A week and a half in to my commitment to eat better and exercise more regularly than I had been, and I’m feeling great. I’m even noticing my clothes fitting just a little bit better. I’ve got a ways to go after a year of gluttony, but my attitude is right now and I’m enjoying it and looking forward to more results!
